Please expect heavy traffic delays during the first few weeks of school. Adjust your travel time accordingly. Students need to be in class by 8:45 am. Please follow drop-off and pick-up procedures at all times. Remember: Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:15am as there is no adult supervision.
Parents may not walk students to their classrooms staff members will be available to provide assistance to the students. Kindergarten parents WILL be allowed to walk their child to class on the 1st day ONLY.

Please complete and return to school the required forms in the First Day Packet by Wednesday, August 22, 2012 or sooner if possible. All documents not requiring a parent signature (Read Only) will be available on the Central Webpage. The School Board of Broward County has decided to “Go Green,” thus the Code of Student Conduct will be on-line ONLY; parents are required to register on Virtual Counselor in order to have the SBBC send you a link with the Code of Student Conduct. Also, a parent/student Acknowledgement Form is included in your First Day Packet Materials confirming your receive of the Code of Student Conduct.
Students need to be in complete uniform. Belts are required if there are belt loops on their pants or shorts. Students are not permitted to roll shorts; shorts must be finger length and fitted at the waist. Proper shoes (i.e., boots of any type, steel toe shoes, open toe shoes, strapless/backless shoes, sneakers higher than the ankle, slipper or moccasins are not permitted). Please be advised that the Administration is in the process of updating and revising the schools Proactive Discipline Plan and dress code policy. Only jackets/sweatshirts with the school logo will be permitted. Please be sure that no student has a haircut or style which is prohibited (i.e., unnatural coloring or Mohawk/Fauxhawk, etc.). Please review Arrival and Dismissal Procedures located on the school’s web site Central Campus link. Please remain in your car when in the car loop (Taft Entrance). Please be sure your child has their Way Home Form on the 1st day of school. If you need bus information please contact transportation authority at 954-364-4790. Information on before care may be received by calling 954-322-3350 and aftercare may be obtained from the front office at 954-322-3300. Make sure you always have your Florida Drivers License when visiting the campus or picking up your child prior to regular dismissal. Please do not attempt to pick up your child(ren) after 2:45pm (12:15pm on Early Release Days), as this is not permissible.
