Pembroke Pines, FL… September 2, 2014…The City of Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary School - East Campus has won first place in the Elementary Division of the Yearbook Life contest for the 2013-2014 school year. The PPCES-East Campus yearbook was one of over 200 in the annual contest which judges yearbooks on: Overall Originality, Yearbook Creativity, Yearbook Theme Consistency and Yearbook Image Quality.

The national award winning yearbook was created by third grade teachers Mrs. Rzucidlo and Mrs. Grau, who are entering their 3rd year of working together in the creation of the East Campus yearbook. “We are thrilled to learn that our school, Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary East Campus won first place in this national contest,” said Sean Chance, Principal of the East Campus. The $250 prize will be used to enhance the East Campus Audio Visual program and enable the school to broadcast live morning news. “The rules and requirements were stringent and our yearbook team is looking to enhance their winning recipe for this years contest,” stated Chance.

Pembroke Pines, FL… September 15, 2014…. The Pembroke Pines Charter School East Campus administration and faculty are charged with providing a stimulating and challenging academic education. An equally challenging part of the school day is lunchtime - cafeteria food – bleh! Not the case at the East Campus, thanks to the efforts of Nelquy Jimenez, the Cafeteria Manger, who has been named a finalist for the Chartwells Associate of the Year for the South Region.
