School Public Accountability Report
Dear City of Pembroke Pines Charter School Parents and Guardians,
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that schools provide parents an annual school status report. This report is known as the School Public Accountability Report (SPAR). You can access the SPAR for your child(ren)'s school(s) at the links below. Each school will also have printed copies available for parents,guardians, and community members in the school office.

Rocket Scientists Launch into Learning
Pembroke Pines, FL…October 28, 2014… Rocket Scientists from the City of Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary School East Campus participated in a stellar event, the 2014 4H “Rockets to The Rescue” event. The 680 young scientists combined their science and engineering skills from the STEM/STEAM/STREAM program to learn about rocketry. The scientist’s learned to design construct and launch three different model rockets: water rockets, chemical and canister rockets (Alka-Seltzer/vinegar) and engine powered model rockets. Additionally 4th and 5th grade student scientists combined their science and engineering skills to learn how to constructing their own rocket from card stock called, “stomp rockets’
"This STEM/STEAM/STREAM project was truly an engaging, learning experience," said Lisa Dizengoff, East Campus Science Teacher. "We are proud of students work and their results, from the launch pad of PPCS-East today.....to NASA tomorrow!"
Winners of National Yearbook Contest
Pembroke Pines, FL… September 2, 2014…The City of Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary School - East Campus has won first place in the Elementary Division of the Yearbook Life contest for the 2013-2014 school year. The PPCES-East Campus yearbook was one of over 200 in the annual contest which judges yearbooks on: Overall Originality, Yearbook Creativity, Yearbook Theme Consistency and Yearbook Image Quality.
The national award winning yearbook was created by third grade teachers Mrs. Rzucidlo and Mrs. Grau, who are entering their 3rd year of working together in the creation of the East Campus yearbook. “We are thrilled to learn that our school, Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary East Campus won first place in this national contest,” said Sean Chance, Principal of the East Campus. The $250 prize will be used to enhance the East Campus Audio Visual program and enable the school to broadcast live morning news. “The rules and requirements were stringent and our yearbook team is looking to enhance their winning recipe for this years contest,” stated Chance.
Cafeteria Manager Honored
Pembroke Pines, FL… September 15, 2014…. The Pembroke Pines Charter School East Campus administration and faculty are charged with providing a stimulating and challenging academic education. An equally challenging part of the school day is lunchtime - cafeteria food – bleh! Not the case at the East Campus, thanks to the efforts of Nelquy Jimenez, the Cafeteria Manger, who has been named a finalist for the Chartwells Associate of the Year for the South Region.
