FSU Elementary News and Notes

Dear Parents using the car line,

•       Our morning associates and volunteers are posted in our car line.  If your child can open and close the car door on their own, we encourage them to do so as this speeds things up. If your child needs assistance (in the am) opening and closing the car door; we will assist.   (Or if your car door is child-proofed) ----If this is the case, please place the “Assistance Needed” sign in your car windshield so staff knows to assist your car.  You can obtain this sign from the office.

Our car line is very improved, yet additional assistance with the morning and afternoon car line would make things even faster.  Earn service hours!  Volunteers are always welcome and truly appreciated!  If you are interested, you may stop by the front office any day.  We would love to have you!

Dear Parents with Children on the Drum-Line,

The Drum-line frequently meets before school.  Children on the drum-line are requested to arrive at school via the car line.  These students should be in line at 8:00am for the practice.  Please do not drop them off in the front office.

Dear Parent or Guardian:

Unfortunately, we have been informed about Head Lice in our school.  Eggs hatch in a week and are spread by direct contact with an infected person, and by indirect contact with infested personal articles such as combs, brushes and clothing.  The period of communicability is as long as lice or eggs remain alive on the infested person or in clothing.

Students need to be excluded from school until they have been satisfactory treated and there are NO NITS found in the hair. We are asking that you check your child every day  in order to prevent further spreading. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the front office.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Mr. Ed needs assistance with several projects in our school.  If you would like to help, please email him at [email protected]  There are opportunities during the day and evening!

We won the trophy!  Thank you all for your participation!

Dear Parents,

You child was given a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF box.  UNICEF save lives and help kids around the world — children who need food, clean water or medicine, or who have been caught in natural disasters. UNICEF works to give these children healthier lives and brighter futures.

Your child can make a difference by collecting money for UNICEF. Donations collected using the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF box will buy lifesaving supplies for children in need. Please send the donations back no later than November 19th. Write your child's name on the box.

As always, you support is greatly appreciated.

Mrs. O. Perez, Guidance Counselor
