Dismissal in the car line and plates pick up will be at 12:30.  Please make sure your child’s teacher has an accurate way home form so there is no confusion with dismissal.  Families need to arrive in the carline and parent plates walk up/ pick up by 12:45 or sooner.

Friday March 18th will be a teacher planning day.

School will resume on March 28th.

Have a Great Spring Break……

Hi Families and Thank You So Much to those of you who came, supported and lived it up at our Spaghetti Dinner & Bingo Family Night Fundraiser.  Over 500 people attended this year! In addition to it being loads of fun with glitter stamps, balloon animals, our first ever “Dance Off” won by our Amazing 4th Grade students and Spill the Spaghetti on the Teacher activity with surprise contestants Dr. Libidinsky and Mr. Pfau joining in to help us raise money, this year’s event was a TREMENDOUS SUCCESS as a fundraiser too.  Families walked away with tickets to Disney, a weekend at the Diplomat Resort, the Miami Heat Experience and many signed Heat and Marlins memorabilia in addition to about 80 other prizes in our silent auction and raffles. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

We had some raffle winners who were not present when we called out the winners and we ask you to pick up your prizes from the front office Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Please bring your matching ticket if there is a number listed. If ONLY your name is listed then you do not need to bring your ticket. The remaining prizes waiting to be claimed are:

Item                                       Winner
Craft Basket 2                      #578565
Sal’s Italian Ristorante      #582212

Dear Parents and Guardians,

All absences must be reported the day before, the day of, or within two school days following the absence. If not, the absence will be considered unexcused. Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Parents,

We are looking for parents to assist with the am and pm car line.

(Our car lines have been so smooth thanks to the many volunteers, already.)

Earn service hours!  Volunteers are always welcome and truly appreciated!  If you are interested, you may stop by the front office any day.  We would love to have you!

Dear Parent or Guardian:

Unfortunately, we have been informed about Head Lice in our school.  Eggs hatch in a week and are spread by direct contact with an infected person, and by indirect contact with infested personal articles such as combs, brushes and clothing.  The period of communicability is as long as lice or eggs remain alive on the infested person or in clothing.

Students need to be excluded from school until they have been satisfactory treated and there are NO NITS found in the hair.

We are asking that you check your child every day  in order to prevent further spreading.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the front office.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Personal technology of children carries great responsibility.  We understand that many children have cell phones and other personal hand held electronic devices. The monitoring of children appropriately using this technology and the time invested to investigate lost or stolen items has been a time consuming struggle.  For this reason we are reminding families that we follow the Broward County Code of Student Conduct on wireless communication/technology.

During a school lockdown, the safety and security of students and staff are of paramount importance. To assist the school during an emergency, and to avoid jeopardizing the safety of our students and staff, we ask that parents adhere to the following guidelines:

● Be patient.

● Tune in to local media for official information and instructions.

● Defer from calling the school’s front office for information. Call the Pembroke Pines Police Department at (954) 431-2200 for official information.

● Under NO circumstance should parents attempt to enter the campus or remove their child from the school prior to an all clear.

● Comply with directives given by law enforcement officers or school personnel.

Dear Parents/Guardians of Incoming 6th graders.

Starting in the 2016-17 school year, re-enrollment will be required to verify and update contact information. This includes students moving from elementary to middle and middle to high school. Please be aware that all FSU and West Campus Elementary students automatically feed and will be enrolled to Pembroke Pines Charter Middle School West Campus.

For more information please visit

Dear Parents,

Our morning car line officially opens at 8:15am.

As a courtesy, we try to open the gates earlier than 8:15.

Unattended children should never be left outside of the car line gate prior to it being opened by staff.  Some children are inappropriately playing near the car line.  If you need to leave early one morning, please make arrangements with another parent to watch your child.  Children should not be dropped off at the car line without adequate arrangements being made.

Please feel free to call the school at 954) 499-4244 if you have any questions.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are requesting donations of tennis balls.  If you would like to donate, please bring the tennis balls to the front office.  Thank you so much!

Please remember that our am and pm car line is a “NO cell phone zone.”

Please be aware of a Chartwells notification for today, (Thursday) especially if your child has allergies.

The Chartwells menu that is posted states we are serving turkey corn dogs. The corndog being served today is a mixture of turkey, pork and beef.

Please call the school if you have any questions at (954) 499-4244.

Thank you,
