FSU Elementary News and Notes

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please note this flyer about the Spring Break Art Camp at the River of Grass Art Park.

Do you need volunteer hours, but don't have much time to 'stick around' the school? Our art teacher needs rolls of masking tape (any brand, any size) for an upcoming project. Please bring your donations to the front office.

Thank you. Your help is much appreciated!!!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please note this newsletter. Have a great weekend!

Dear Parents of 5th grade Drama students,

Please note that the Drama season will begin next week for participating 5th graders. Here is the printer friendly calendar for the next 2 weeks. Please review the rehearsal schedule. Also, you MUST pick your child up from rehearsals on time and you MUST sign them out.

If another parent is taking your child home, please send a written note and / or an email to [email protected] or [email protected]

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to remind you that all volunteer/service hours are due by May 22, 2015. Each family in the Pembroke Pines Charter School system must complete 30 hours annually in order for their child(ren) to continue enrollment.

Thank you.

All students in grades 2-5 received user names and passwords from Mrs. Rivera this week to log on to TYNKER and begin a series of 6 lessons on basic programming. The program is a FREE educators' classroom introduction kit. It is self-paced and very user friendly.

The 'Hour of Code' is a nationwide initiative by CSEdWeek and to introduce computer programming to 10 million students and encourage them to learn programming. Tynker is proud to be a curriculum provider for the Hour of Code.

What do these activities teach? The puzzles and creative activities are designed to teach students computational thinking and the basics of computer programming. Students solve each puzzle by programming visual code blocks to achieve a goal.

Dear Parents,

We are looking for parents to assist with the am and pm carline. Earn service hours! Volunteers are always welcome and truly appreciated! If you are interested, you may stop by the front office any day. We would love to have you!

Our school is in need of dark blue school jackets that comply with the Pembroke Pines Charter uniform policy. If your child has outgrown theirs and you would like to donate it, please bring it to the front office.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Just a friendly reminder that we would like for our students to go on Successmaker daily at home. If you are having difficulties logging into the Successmaker program, please review this (flyer 1, flyer 2) information for important updates. Thank you!
