Dear City of Pembroke Pines Charter School Parents and Guardians,

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that schools provide parents an annual school status report. This report is known as the School Public Accountability Report (SPAR). You can access the SPAR for your child(ren)'s school(s) at the links below. Each school will also have printed copies available for parents, guardians, and community members in the school office.

Parents picking up their child in the pm car-line are requested to write the child’s name in dark marker on the car-line windshield hanger that was given out at open house. The name on the windshield hanger may have faded from the sun. Please write the child’s first and last name as well as the grade. Please write the child’s first and last name as well as the grade. This information clearly written on the car-line hanger makes things easier for staff in the carline.

Drivers are requested to circle a 2nd time in the carline if the child is not present (yet) when the car approaches the loading area.

Do you need volunteer hours, but don't have much time to 'stick around' the school? Our art teacher needs rolls of masking tape (any brand, any size) for an upcoming project. Please bring your donations to the front office.

Thank you. Your help is much appreciated!!!

All students in grades 2-5 received user names and passwords from Mrs. Rivera this week to log on to TYNKER and begin a series of 6 lessons on basic programming. The program is a FREE educators' classroom introduction kit. It is self-paced and very user friendly.

The 'Hour of Code' is a nationwide initiative by CSEdWeek and code.org to introduce computer programming to 10 million students and encourage them to learn programming. Tynker is proud to be a curriculum provider for the Hour of Code.

What do these activities teach? The puzzles and creative activities are designed to teach students computational thinking and the basics of computer programming. Students solve each puzzle by programming visual code blocks to achieve a goal.
