Dear Charter School Parents,

Thank you to all of the parents who have donated and/or pledged to contribute to the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation. If you have not made a contribution or completed a pledge form, please do so now. Here  is a pledge form that can be used to make your contributions to the future of your child’s education. We hope you take the time to fill one out and send it in to your school’s front office.

The Pembroke Pines Charter School System has a proud history of excellence that we intend to preserve and grow for years to come. However, we cannot do so without your help.

Please fill out your pledge form today.

The State Department of Health has confirmed the first Florida case of the Enterovirus-D68 in Tampa. This virus causes cold and flu-like symptoms and is considered highly contagious. In infants and young children, the virus can cause difficulty breathing.

Schools are being advised to be vigilant and practice good hygiene. Parents, if your children experience one or more of the following symptoms, we ask that you keep them home. If the symptoms persist, please seek medical care as soon as possible: FEVER, RUNNY NOSE, SNEEZING, COUGH, BODY & MUSCLE ACHES, WHEEZING, AND DIFFICULTY BREATHING.

You can help prevent your family from getting and spreading respiratory illnesses by following these steps:

- Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoid close contact such as hugging, kissing, sharing cups or eating utensils with people who are sick
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or shirt sleeve, not with your bare hands
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as toys and doorknobs, especially if someone is sick
- PLEASE STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK
