Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please note this newsletter. Have a great weekend!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Today our school participated in a code red lockdown drill.  We often practice these drills so that our students will be able to understand the procedures.

Dear Parents

We are aware there are some technical difficulties on the re-enrollment website in regards to the student's information.

Our IT Department is working diligently to resolve these issues.  We will notify you via Parent Link when the issues are resolved.

We thank you for your patience.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

All absences must be reported the day before, the day of, or within two school days following the absence. If not, the absence will be considered unexcused. Thank you for your cooperation.

Parents,

Please review the Pembroke Pines Charter uniform policy as it relates to jackets.

Uniform Policy: All students must be in uniform each day. Navy blue bottoms, appropriate uniform shirt as well as uniform sweater and/or jacket. Solid navy blue jacket/sweater may be used.

Please remember to put your child’s name on all sweaters, jackets and sweatshirts.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to remind you that all volunteer/service hours are due by May 27, 2016.  Each family in the Pembroke Pines Charter School system must complete 30 hours annually in order for their child(ren) to continue enrollment.

Please make sure to hand in your volunteer/service hour forms before the deadline!

Thank you.

We are requesting the following donations.  If you would like to donate these items, please bring them to the front office when we return to school.  Thank you!

1) small water bottles

2) snack size zip-lock bags

3) band aids

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Not all families are comfortable with their child being photographed or filmed at school.  The school keeps a confidential list of students who are not to be filmed or photographed.  For this reason, we ask that you do not take pictures of other children at school without direct permission from the child's family or your child's teacher.

Thank you.

Dear Parents,

We are looking for parents to assist with the am and pm car line.

(Our car lines have been so smooth thanks to the many volunteers, already.)

Earn service hours!  Volunteers are always welcome and truly appreciated!  If you are interested, you may stop by the front office any day.  We would love to have you!

Dear Charter School Parents,

As one of the nation’s largest charities, the United Way of America understands the impact that charitable giving has on improving communities and helping individuals.  Education is just one of the United Way’s top priorities when advocating for good public policy and their team of volunteers work vigilantly every day to ensure that every child has a quality education.

We wanted to remind you that donating through the United Way is yet another fantastic option parents have to contribute through partnering with their participating employers towards their SOS Parent Donation.  Please check with your employers to see if this is an option for you and remember to tell your employer that you would like your donation to go to the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation, Inc.   The contact information for our local chapters, United Way of Broward County and United Way of Miami-Dade are listed below.  Remember, your parent donation is a direct investment into your child’s education and no matter which method you choose to donate towards your SOS Parent Donation, all contributions to the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation are tax-deductible.
